Jesus High

**this blog isn't meant to offend anyone, so apologies if it does, but this is nothing but my honest opinion.

I'm all for God. Praise Jesus, hallelujah, ect. What I'm not all about, is when people are on that Jesus high, and refuse to come down. Not to mention, they think that while they're up there, they can push, even shove their "beliefs" on us "non-believers".

Like I said, I'm all for God. I believe in that higher power that gives some guidance and others hope. A high power that creates situations and obstacles. A higher power that gives us all a reason to be here. However, I don't jump on tables, update my status every 5 min with "alive with my savior, Jesus Christ, the Lord of all Lords", or hit people who aren't jumping and praising, over the head with a freaking bible. I just don't. And personally, I can't really stand people that do. (again, please don't be offended, this isn't meant to hurt your feelings, I just get shit off my chest this way)

God isn't something you push on someone. People think that as a "son or daughter of God" they need to make everyone these cookie cutter Christians. That's not His goal. Not to mention, if someone is putting up a religion wall, you cant come in with your Bible and try to break it down, it just wont happen. That person is probably driven away by your persistent and intimidating behavior, not because they are "sinners" or "need to be saved". Do you think that if a person is living life, and maybe not attending church every night, that you need to swoop down and save them? We don't need to be saved, we need you to back off and let us live our life and discover what we want when we want. Your not going to get anywhere with someone if they don't like your behavior in the first place, and you continue to push it on them. common sense.

I'm not going to lie, I've felt the "Jesus high" before. Pretty damn awesome, but it fades, and when it does, your left with your experiences, memories, and a strong sense of self and reassurance.  You can make this life on your own, keeping in mind that He is always with you. But living your life, constantly under a shadow, making sure every waking moment your trying to please someone else is going to grow tiresome, exhausting, and in the end, your no where closer to experiencing a high of self success. Success achieved by living your life for you.

Maybe I'm naive. Maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about. All I know is that I feel happy, satisfied, and strong within myself.

to be continued...
